Sushikko was born from the story of Makiko, a Japanese mother who has lived in Italy for many years.
In her home, sushi has never been a special dish, but a daily gesture: preparing it together, calmly, as has always been done in Japan.
Over time, friends and families began asking her to teach—not a class, but a different way of enjoying the table. Hence the project was born: to create the right tools, designed to last, that allow sushi preparation to be a natural experience even in Italian homes.
Each element has been chosen and designed to be used over the years, to change hands, and to remain part of the family routine.
Not to cook something complicated,
but to share a moment.
This is the spirit of OMOTENASHI: welcoming and caring, even before serving the food.
